Maura Newcomb McAnney, Esq.
Ms. McAnney graduated from Cornell University, School of Industrial and Labor Relations, in 1984. In 1986, Ms. McAnney graduated from Syracuse University College of Law where she was a Notes and Comments Editor for the Journal of International Law and Commerce. After graduation, Ms. McAnney joined a large national law firm and practiced as a labor and employment associate. In January of 1989, Ms. McAnney transitioned to a well-known boutique law firm where she continued to practice in the labor and employment area and, in addition, handled environmental and commercial litigation. Ms. McAnney has been involved in recruiting her entire professional life. Ms. McAnney is also a member of the C’AC Board at Cornell University and is the chair of the western Pennsylvania CAAAN committee, responsible for serving as ambassadors on behalf of Cornell University to students in the admissions process. Valerie Merti Esposito, Esq.
Ms. Esposito graduated magna cum laude from Allegheny College in 1982, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. In 1984, Ms. Esposito graduated from Duquesne University School of Law. While at Duquesne, Ms. Esposito was invited to become a member of the Duquesne Law Review and also served as an editor of Juris. Upon graduation, Ms. Esposito joined a large national law firm as a commercial litigation associate. In 1988, Ms. Esposito made a move to a well-respected mid-sized firm where she practiced as a corporate/transactional attorney handling mergers and acquisitions, real estate, franchising, and intellectual property. Ms. Esposito was on the recruitment committees at both law firms and has been extensively involved in attorney recruitment her whole professional career. She is also a volunteer with Joseph’s People, a non-profit organization dedicated to offering support and job counseling services to the unemployed and underemployed.
